Gaining Sustainability and Circularity through Remanufacturing: Opportunities in the Region

Remanufacturing within the automotive industry has been at the leading edge of sustainability through ingenuity, material stewardship and circular design. Though its adoption in the region has been understood to be low, it has immense potential, for instance, especially with the government pushing for a circular economy through the UAE Circular Economy Policy 2021 – 2031. Owing to the environmental benefits and vision of governments, some industry giants have already indulged in the remanufacturing of vehicle components.

This network session will explore the current state of the subject, bring further visibility and best practice around the potential of remanufacturing, and engage in interactive discussions with the participants.
